We are so glad you found us. I’m Malachi. I am 11 years old and I love to build things. Anything. I love to work with my hands. I hope to be a carpenter and rancher one day and study mechanical engineering.

My advice for young entrepreneurs:
“dress nicely so you and your business are taken seriously.”

My mama tells me I started taking things apart when I was 2 and at age 4 I took the training wheels off my bike to try to make a skateboard. By the time I was 9, I had taken apart all the bicycles our family owned…and gotta love my mama, she wasn’t happy about it, but has encouraged my creativity.

I got my first power screwdriver/drill at age 8 from my Papa and earned enough selling birdhouse kits to buy my own power sander.

My brother, Elijah and I build together, a lot, and I love having him along with me on my adventures. When we first started, we called ourselves The Building Brothers. Together we have tried building multiple forts, a zip line, bike ramps, hay feeders, carts, skateboards, bows and arrows, to name a few. And once we created a goat enclosure for a baby goat, oh yeah, we live on a mini farm so we have animals that some times become part of our creativity.

We came up with a plan about 3 years ago to make birdhouse kits to sell and even had a chance to participate in our local Children’s Business Fair with a make and take booth. We earned back our initial investment at that event and felt very successful. We learned a lot about starting a business by participating and obviously still have a lot to learn, but we are having fun along the way.

This site is still being worked on, as we have time. We will be setting up a store and uploading pictures of our cutting boards and stove top covers soon, along with some other projects we have been working on. I hope to be able to share projects with you too.

We do have birdhouse kits (Bluebird size) available to purchase at $12 plus shipping (local pick-up is an option), so please feel free to contact us via the contact page, or leave a comment below.
